Light in Darkness

Carolyn Knight began visiting strip clubs seven years ago – the last place one might expect to find a Bible professor.  On a given evening, she sits with the dancers, listens to their stories, befriends them, counsels them, and provides what assistance she can.  Occasionally she brings one of these women out of her destructive environment and away from her oppression.

Light in Darkness Ministry is dedicated to the task of helping women who are in trouble. Most of their initiatives center on a local church with a vision to save these unfortunate women and rid their communities of this social blight. Their strategy is to focus on friendship evangelism in strip clubs by reaching out to the ladies trapped in the sex industry.  This Ministry has grown from one local church initiative to a nationwide, and soon to be, worldwide ministry.

This film project’s goal is to motivate local churches and individual Christians with a heart for this ministry, and to encourage follow-up with training by the Light in Darkness Team.  We are in the early stages of creating a script and developing funding to enable the production of the video.
